Kristen Wu, PT, DPT, OCS is an orthopedic physical therapist with a passion for analyzing and restoring movement quality at every functional level.

Having trained professionally in dance, she has a deep understanding of the importance of movement for one’s sense of self.

Kristen received her Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University in 2006 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2009. She went on to participate in Kaiser Permanente’s Orthopedic Residency Program from 2009 – 2010, after which she became a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).  

Having been introduced to Movement Science during her residency program, Kristen became motivated to further her advanced training in Kaiser’s Movement Science Fellowship Program from 2010 – 2011.

She moved back to Chicago in 2012 where she practiced at the #1 rehabilitation hospital in the country for 10 years and expanded her skill set to include Robin McKenzie’s Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT).

Kristen served as clinical faculty at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and as a primary mentor for the Northwestern University/Shirley Ryan Ability Lab Orthopedic Residency Program. In addition to practicing physical therapy, Kristen is a certified barre instructor and teaches at The Bar Method.
